Sport Food Fix – The right food, in the right quantity, at the right time - maximise your sporting potential. Trust a Dietitian

- Ailis Robertson, Registered Dietitian

I am a degree qualified Dietitian, registered with the Health Professions Council. As a dietitian, I am uniquely placed to translate the most up to date scientific research on nutrition, health and sport into an Individual Nutrition Performance Plan for you.

I believe good nutrition is for everyone however you choose to

participate in sport.

‘The amount, composition, and timing of food intake can profoundly affect sports performance. Good nutritional practice will help athletes train hard, recover quickly and adapt more effectively with less risk of illness and injury.’

I specialise in providing nutrition support for clients participating in sport with conditions requiring specialist dietetic input such as Diabetes mellitus, Coeliac disease, Irritable bowel syndrome, Iron deficiency and those with proven food allergies.

I have more than 15 years experience working as a dietitian. During this time I have worked in many clinical areas of dietetics including Nutrition support/ artificial feeding, gastroenterology , liver disease and coeliac disease. I have also worked as a dietitian in a multi-disciplinary team providing dietetic support to adults with learning difficulties and have also been deputy head of a busy dietetic department.

This clinical expertise has given me the unique ability to translate the science of sports nutrition into practical, tailored advice for individuals or groups.

My clients to date include Scottish Swimming, coaches, parents, athletes from swimming, trampolining and climbing instructors.

I believe being physically active should be a way of life for everyone. Most of us can enjoy the health benefits, social life and sense of well being we achieve from being physically active.

The seminar was very well received by the large group of coaches who attended.

It was very well organised and the delivery was of a very high standard.
